A Florida woman is in custody after stabbing a pregnant customer 14 times over a $2.00 pizza delivery tip.
The incident occurred on December 22nd at a motel in Kissimmee, FL, where the victim, boyfriend, and 5-year-old daughter were staying as a birthday celebration and ordered a meal from Marco’s Pizza.
Brianna Alvelo delivered the meal, which was valued at $33.00. The victim gave Alvelo a $50 bill for the meal. Alvelo claimed the store didn’t give drivers money for change. The victim gave Alvelo a lower bill to cover the meal plus a $2 tip.
Alvelo later returned to the hotel about an hour later with a man, and they forced themselves into the room. The unidentified man brandished a gun at the victims’ boyfriend, demanding he go to the bathroom, while Alvelo pulled out a pocket knife and rummaged through the room. When the mother tried to shield her daughter, she was stabbed.
Alvelo is facing charges of home invasion, attempted murder, kidnapping, and aggravated assault. She could spend the rest of her life behind bars, with prosecutors recommending life imprisonment.
The victim is in stable condition, and deputies are still searching for the armed man involved.
