Comedian and actor Rob Schneider told Fox News that he’ll be launching a new women’s talk show through his media company, No Apologies Media.
The talk show will be an alternative to ABC’s 28-season-long show, The View. Schneider told the news outlet that the only difference is that the show will be entertaining and much funnier.
The 61-year-old comedian took shots at the View saying quote: “It’s not going to be shaming people and making people wince,” he said.
“People are sick of it,” the Deuce Bigalow actor said, “People don’t want to have the politics. We’re going to have an entertaining show with people for entertaining people all over America. We’re not trying to just bring people who are angry and bitter and reinforcing their political echo chamber,” he added.
“We’re going to compete with them, yeah. I don’t know if it’s the same time slot. We’re not going to announce who’s doing so yet, but that’s what’s happening now. And it’s official. So now we’re moving forward,” he told Fox News when asked if he would be competing against The View.
Schneider didn’t provide any additional details on the show’s title and four talk show hosts. He did say that the show will begin filming episodes next month, before next month’s presidential inauguration.
