Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro States That He Has Not Received Any Communication From Trump Following the Arson Incident

Governor Shapiro stated on Wednesday that Trump has not contacted or weighed in since the arson attack on his residence in Harrisburg, PA.

Vice President JD Vance commented on Sunday on the X platform, following the attack quote.

“Thanks be to God that Governor Shapiro and his family were unharmed in this attack,” he wrote.

“Really disgusting violence, and I hope whoever did it is brought swiftly to justice,” he added.

Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel spoke with Shapiro after the attack, with Bondi describing the attack as “horrific,” believing the attack was intended to kill him, and they are working diligently on the investigation.

A reporter asked Trump if the FBI was able to determine the possible motive of the arson. “No, I haven’t, but the attacker was not a fan of Trump, I understand — just from what I read and from what I’ve been told, the president said.

“The attacker basically wasn’t a fan of anybody. He’s probably just a whack job. And certainly a thing like that cannot be allowed to happen,” he added.

Law enforcement has arrested and charged 38-year-old Cody A. Balmer with the crime, alleging he broke into the governor’s home and started multiple fires with Molotov cocktails while Shapiro and his family were inside for a Passover dinner. No one was hurt, but the home sustained significant damage.
