Harmonizing the Holidays: A Smooth and Soulful Candlelit Christmas Concert

On December 19, 2023, Ayana Washington of Book Black Women, Inc organized the Second Annual Candlelit Christmas concert at the Cape Fear Regional Theater in Fayetteville, NC. The concert was an excellent opportunity for local African American artists to showcase their talents on the grand stage.

Audiences who appreciated the calming and soulful tunes performed by talented singers, dancers, and musicians enjoyed the Christmas-themed event. Audience members were seen in the rhythmic flow of some of Christmas’ popular tunes – swaying their heads, snapping their fingers, singing to the beat’s tune, rejoicing, and waving their hands. Book Black Women, Inc aims to provide a platform highlighting talented African American performers, and the concert was the perfect place for artists to perform Christmas melodies.
