Dawn Staley gets emotional after the South CarolinaGamecocks won the 2024 NCAA Women’s Basketball championship.
This is the lady Gamecocks third championship under Coach Staley – previously winning a championship in 2017 and 2022.
When asked about her emotions behind the win, an emotional Staley said, “We serve an unbelievable God. Uncommon favor!”
The Philadelphia native have receive uncommon favor when it comes to her passion for basketball. Staley have many accolades as a colliegate player at the University of VA, winning gold medals during the Olympics and World Cup, as a professional player for the ABA, Richmond/Philadelphia Rage and WNBA, Charlotte Stings/Houston Comets, basketball hall of famer, the list goes on and on.
Now she’s experiencing success as a coach becoming the first black coach to win three Division 1 championships. She’s #PhillyStrong
