Authorities Say Alcohol Was a Contributing Factor in the Tragic Crash That Claimed the Life of Social Media Influencer, Malik Taylor

CONCORD, N.C. — Police say alcohol was a contributing factor in a single-vehicle crash that killed TikTok and YouTube personality Malik Taylor, 28, in Cabarrus County last week.

The crash happened on Wednesday, Aug. 20, at an apartment complex on Lapis Lane Northwest in Concord. Investigators said Taylor’s 2016 Nissan Rogue went off the roadway, dropped about 20 feet down an embankment, and landed upside down. He was the only person inside the vehicle and died at the scene. No other vehicles were involved, and police confirmed no foul play was suspected.
