During the 35th annual National Action Network (NAN) Convention, former vice president Kamala Harris addressed Reverend Al Sharpton‘s question, “So, are you going to run again in 2028?”
Harris said, quote, “I might. I’m thinking about it. I’m thinking about it. Let me say this, ‘I am thinking about it.’
She also noted that she served for four years as vice president, being a heartbeat away from the president of the United States, and spent countless hours in the Oval Office and West Wing office and knows what the job is and what it requires. She added that she spent some time meeting with people to understand their needs.
She added that she was speaking to people, and they don’t want process; they want to see progress. She noted that running for president and being a leader of the country is about American people and not about yourself or what you want for yourself.
In 2024, Harris runs for president after former President Joe Biden’s abrupt departure from the campaign trail while running for a second term. Harris lost the election to Donald Trump. Harris seems more than ready and willing to get her hat back in the ring again for another presidency run.
