Rapper Kid Cudi Testified in Sex Trafficking and Racketeering Conspiracy Trial Against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs

Rapper Scott Mescudi, known as Kid Cudi, has testified in the federal racketeering conspiracy and sex-trafficking trial of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Mescudi stated that he met Ventura in 2008 and had a brief relationship with her in 2011. He remembered a call in December 2011 from Ventura, who said that Combs had discovered their relationship and she sounded “really stressed” and “scared”.

The rapper testified that he picked her up, and they went to a hotel. Mescudi and Ventura subsequently had a phone conversation with one of Combs’s employees, who also appeared “very scared,” claim that Combs and an associate were inside Mescudi’s home.

Mescudi testified that he called Combs, asking if he was there. Combs allegedly replied: “I just want to talk to you,” according to Mescudi.

Mescudi said he told Combs: “I’m on my way, I’ll be right down,” which Combs responded with: “I’m over here waiting for you.”

Combs was not there by the time Mescudi arrived. Mescudi said that he did notice that some items inside of the house were out of place, and his dog was locked in a bathroom. He filed a police report about the apparent break-in.

Mescudi recounted that one morning in January 2012, his dog watcher informed him that his car was ablaze in the driveway. He stated in court that the top of his Porsche appeared to be cut open and that a Molotov cocktail had been placed inside.

The judge will permit testimony regarding the dog’s behavior shortly after the break-in. In 2023, Ventura filed a civil lawsuit against Combs, claiming that Combs threatened to blow up Mescudi’s car upon discovering their relationship, and shortly thereafter, Mescudi’s car “exploded in his driveway.”

Combs is charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation for prostitution.
