HBCU GO, the free-streaming digital platform from Allen Media Group and the leading media provider for the nation’s 107 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), will showcase two marquee matchups on Saturday, September 6th, as part of its 2025 football season coverage.
The evening kicks off in Huntsville, Alabama, with the Louis Crews Classic, honoring Alabama A&M’s all-time winningest coach. Under new head coach, Sam Shade, the Bulldogs face Alcorn State, led by second-year coach Cedric Thomas. Play-by-play coverage will feature James Hadnot, Jon Kelley, and sideline reporter Lawrencia Moten.
Following that, attention shifts to Tuskegee, Alabama, where the Golden Tigers will host their first-ever night game in more than 110 years of football, taking on Central State. Tuskegee enters with momentum after a Red Tails Classic win, while Central State debuts under first-year head coach Tony Carter, a seven-year NFL veteran. Derrin Horton, Gregory Coleman, and Nia Symone will lead the coverage on TheGrio.
Week Two Matchups Times:
Game 1: Alcorn State vs. Alabama A&M – Louis Crews Classic, Huntsville, AL (6 PM CT / 7 PM ET, Syndication)
- Highlights: Alabama A&M is strengthened by key transfers and returning quarterback, Cornelius Brown IV, who lead the Bulldogs’ offense. Alcorn State counters with a defense anchored by preseason SWAC First-Teamers Jacorian Sewell and HBCU All-American, Stemarion Edwards, promising a matchup of firepower versus grit.


Game 2: Central State vs. Tuskegee – Historic First Night Game, Tuskegee, AL (6 PM CT / 7 PM ET, Cable/TheGrio)
- Highlights: The Tuskegee Golden Tigers, who won the Red Tails Classic, led by quarterback, Raequan Beal, freshman wideout, Preston Parker, and defensive leader, HBCU All-American, Miakel King, look to build their momentum as they take on Central State. Central State aims to spoil the celebration, anchored by All-SIAC defensive lineman, Mike White.


HBCU GO will also continue its weekly series Victory Formation, hosted by sports journalist Jeff Lightsy Jr., exploring rivalries, culture, and the people shaping HBCU athletics.
