Angie Stone’s family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the drivers of both vehicles involved in the car crash & the collision system that resulted in the singer’s tragic death on March 1, 2025.According to 11Alive News, Stone survived the initial accident and was trying to escape for safety. 11Alive News reports that the truck that crashed into the van led to her fatality.
After finishing her performance at a Mardi Gras concert in Mobile, Alabama, Stone was headed to Atlanta with her band when the Mercedes-Benz van overturned on the interstate in Montgomery and was hit by a Freightliner Cascadia semi-trailer truck. She was due to perform at the CIAA tournament in Baltimore, Maryland on March 1, 2025.
The lawsuit, filed this week, alleges negligence and aims to bring answers for her loved ones during this difficult time.
