Randy Moss Returns to ESPN After Completing Cancer Treatment

NFL Hall of Famer Randy Moss is back on Sunday NFL Countdown after successfully completing cancer treatment at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina.

On Thursday, Sept. 4, the Minnesota Vikings legend marked the milestone with an emotional moment, ringing the hospital’s victory bell at its Morehead Medical Drive location.

“I want to thank everybody at this hospital for welcoming me to be a part of their family, of their extended family,” Moss said to the staff.

“Y’all do a great job of taking care of people, and I know it’s an emotional moment, but I thank you all. God bless you.”

Moss revealed in December that doctors had discovered cancer in his bile duct. The diagnosis led him to step away from his ESPN role to focus on treatment. He made a surprise appearance during the Super Bowl broadcast earlier this year, but his full return to Sunday NFL Countdown signals a new chapter in his recovery.
