Funky Dineva revealed that he has been diagnosed with stage one prostate cancer. He explained that doctors performed twelve biopsies, with two coming back cancerous and one labeled suspicious and inconclusive. Additional bloodwork was done to determine whether the cancer is slow or fast growing. Fortunately, it was caught at the earliest stage, giving him several treatment options, including radiation, experimental medication, or robotic surgery.
He shared that he will undergo surgery as part of his treatment plan, with a meeting scheduled with his surgeon on December 8th. Funky Dineva, whose real name is Quentin Latham, said he chose to speak publicly for educational purposes and even reassured an emotional viewer during the livestream, telling them not to cry for him, admitting he’s a little down but confident he will be alright.
