Catch a Vibe at Fayetteville’s Newest Nightlife Lounge

The city’s newest lounge attraction rolled out the green carpet and gleamed the green lights of the storefront signage with its soft opening during Cools Springs’ 4th Friday on August 25th before its grand opening during the Labor Day weekend. The popular black-owned lounge, based in Atlanta, GA, has 22 franchises throughout the United States, with a future franchise coming soon in Miami, according to the company’s website. According to RestaurantNews.com, CRU Lounge is the largest black-owned nightlife chain and hookah lounge chain in the United States.

The Columnist’s social media friends couldn’t get enough of this spot, seeing multiple videos and pictures of Go-Green enthusiasts catching a vibe on her newsfeed. Bringing a franchise here brings a different spotlight to the city, adding vibrancy to downtown Fayetteville’s nightlife.

Dimitri Parker and Terrance Jones are the two businessmen behind Fayetteville’s newest entertainment spot, which many, especially young adults, can’t get enough of. The Fayetteville-connected businessmen are excited to bring this popular, vibrant franchise chain to the downtown’s nightlight.

Parker, who previously operated the CRU Lounge in Charlotte, credits the success of the Charlotte franchise to his consistency and hard work. According to the Fayetteville Observer, Jones was eager to bring a franchise to his hometown after experiencing Atlanta’s food and nightlife scene. This builds their momentum to join forces to make it happen here.

The inside of the lounge, from the tables (labeled CRU Catch a Vibe) to the bar, is laminated with green lights. The “CRU Catch a Vibe” and “CRU 26” neon sign lights and leave-covered walls on the first level add to the decorative ambiance on the first level. The live music from guest DJs provides a vibrant, lucky green, laid-back atmosphere.

The green-lit colors also serve as a pathway to the upstairs level, including more lounge seats, a bar area, a big-screen TV, and a scenic deck view of the first floor. The lounge offers chef-style dishes, appetizers, CRUtails (specialty craft cocktails), non-alcoholic/alcoholic beverages, and various hookah flavors.

The lounge hours of operation are Monday to Thursday, 6pm to 1am, Friday-Saturday, 6pm to 2am. Sunday is the only day they’re open early, from 12pm-12am, featuring an elegant brunch. CRU also provides unique and creative themes for visitors, such as Tuesday’s Taco Cruesdays and Half-Off Specials on Hump Day Wednesday.
