Luther Vandross Documentary Set to Debut Next Year

Next year, CNN, OWN, and MAX will air Dawn Porter’s Luther Vandross’ documentary, “Luther: Never Too Much”,

The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.’, and was selected by CNN Films and OWN. 

Interviews with Luther Vandross fans Jamie Foxx and Mariah Carey are part of the 101-minute documentary, which takes viewers on a musical and personal journey with one of the greatest singers of all time.

“I’m thrilled to partner again with CNN Films and OWN to bring this film to audiences,” director Porter said.

“Luther’s music is timeless, his legacy is unsurpassed, and we can’t wait for all of his fans new and old to experience his brilliance,” she added.

Vandross is known for his hits such as Dance with my Father, Give Me The Reason, Here and Now.

Nearly twenty years ago, on July 1, 2005, at the age of 54, the R&B icon went away.
