Soulia Boy apologized to Metro Boomin for his distasteful tweet about his mother. He also mentioned that he’s done responding to hate, new or old, and is going to seek therapy and anger management. Metro Boomin, whose real name is Leland Tyler Wayne, mother tragically died in 2022 from a murder-suicide committed by his step-father.
Soulja Boy’s distasteful tweet about Metro Boomin”s mother resulted in an old tweet Metro tweeted about Soulja Boy 12 years ago.
The tweet from Metro Boomin stated:
“My phone ring to come to the studio with Jeezy. Yours rings to send Soulia Boy a pack of beats. down.”
Soulja Boy was offended by the decade-old tweet and ranted on the X platform. He even commented under Akademiks’ post that the St. Louis producer had 24 hours to delete the tweet. Rapper 21 Savage replies to Soulja Boy’s message – saying, “Or What?”
Soulja Boy sent tweets on X and even made a live Instagram call to Metro Boomin and 21 Savage. He didn’t stop there; Soulja Boy wished Metro’s mother a Happy Mother’s Day and tweeted, “You sacrificed your own mom, @MetroBoomin. You a puppet.”
He didn’t seem to care about the adverse reaction to the tweet he made about Metro’s mother on Mother’s Day,
21 Savage stood in Metro’s defense with his tweet about Soulja Boy’s distasteful tweet about Metro’s mother. Soulja Boy added 21 Savage to the fuel, which led to the British rapper posting screenshot articles of XXL of Soulja Boy’s net worth being in the negatives, the judge suggesting he cover his expenses to pay $472,000 to the women he owed money, and his $1 million deposit from Warner Music Group.
Soulja continued to make a series of tweets and Instagram live videos taking shots at Metro and 21 Savage – through X about Metro over his mother’s death & Savage, and challenged the two to a boxing match.
“I’ll beat the fuck out you @MetroBoomin and @21savage sign the boxing contract since u pussy n***az so tough!!!,” he tweeted.
He also tweeted the following after receiving negative criticism over his tweet rant; “I don’t give a fuck!!!!” he wrote. “It’s always cool when a n***a come at me but when I defend myself it’s too much huh?! Fuck that n***a mama!!!!!!!!!! Don’t speak on my name bitch!”
Soulja disrespectful toward the end, writing, “Dig that n***a mama up and throw her back in that bitch. This make yall mad huh? I’m smoking mama metro in a fat ass wood rn.”

Meek wrote a since-deleted tweet on May 13th to Soulja Boy,
“Soulja if you say you’re gonna smoke somebody and they see you and actually smoke you it’s self defence… y’all losing touch if reality for some likes and clout insane.”
Soulja Boy then hit back at the Philly rapper with a short but scathing reply that referenced the allegations that Meek had a sexual relationship with Diddy.
