Tupac’s Family Reportedly Will Launch an Investigation if More Evidence Arises on Claims of Diddy’s Alleged Involvement in Tupac’s Murder

The recent claims of Keefe D, whose real name is Duane Davis, brought up Diddy’s name 77 times in a court filing report, which has sparked attention from the family of the late rapper, Tupac Shakar.

According to TMZ, the family of the late rapper Tupac Shakur is disturbed by the most recent allegations from Davis and is preparing to take legal action against Sean “Diddy” Combs if evidence arises about Diddy’s alleged involvement in the orchestration of Tupac’s death. Should no evidence surface, Tupac’s family intends to initiate a wrongful death lawsuit.

The iconic rapper died on September 7, 1996, at the Las Vegas strip while in a black vehicle with Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight.

On the night of Shakur’s shooting, surveillance footage shows the “California Love” rapper and his entourage involved in a fight with Orlando Anderson after the Bruce Seldom vs. Mike Tyson fight. Trevon Lane allegedly spotted Anderson alone at the MGM Grand Las Vegas and informed Shakur. Shakur and his entourage attacked Anderson for snatching Lane’s medallion.

In the nearly 180-page court document, Davis, currently charged with orchestrating Tupac’s death, asserts that Combs offered him $1 million for the 1996 murder. Filed on July 18th, Davis accused Combs of [allegedly] paying Eric “Von Zip” Martin (known as Harlem Street Gangster) a million dollars for Martin to give to Davis. According to the documents, Diddy arranged a surreptitious phone conversation with driver Terry “Bubble Up” Brown, as reported by Fox 5. Davis asserts that he never received payment for Shakur’s murder, citing years of avoidance by both Martin and Combs. During his 2009 interrogation with the Clark County Police, Davis made mention of Diddy’s involvement in the murder of Tupac.

TMZ reports they talked to a source from law enforcement who said Diddy was never a suspect in the Tupac murder investigation, and that remains true today. TMZ also states that authorities are not buying Davis’ claims about Diddy’s involvement, stating that his claim is not credible.

Chris Carroll, a former Lieutenant of the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, has also asserted that Davis’ story is untrue. He asserts that there is no evidence to support his claim and that Orlando Anderson was the murderer, as reported by News 3. Carroll said that there is no motive behind Diddy’s involvement, except for the East Coast-West Coast rivalry, but that’s not a legitimate reason, stating that Davis’ claims are just a “good story.”

Through Exclusive Press (EP) research on the other names mentioned in the court filing (Eric Von Zip Martin and Terry Brown), Martin, who’s now deceased, was close to Combs and introduced him to the Los Angeles Southside Crips, according to Tik Toker Federal CB 061. In 2015, a shooting in Compton, California claimed the life of Brown, the driver of the white Cadillac in which Tupac was involved. Deandrae Smith, the fourth person involved, who allegedly was sitting in the back of the vehicle beside Anderson, passed away in 2004 from natural causes.

The late Tim Brennan, from the Compton Law Enforcement gang unit, filed an affidavit, claiming Davis’ nephew, Orlando Anderson, was the responsible person in the murder of Shakur. On May 29, 1998, a gang-related shootout killed Anderson, who was 23 years old.

On September 29, 2023, last year, authorities arrested and charged Keefe D for his involvement in Shakur’s murder.

Davis’ trial was initially set for June 3, 2024, but was delayed to November 4, 2024. Davis remains in jail. Cash “Wack 100” Jones, a music executive friend of Davis, tried to pay off his bail, but the judge denied it because she didn’t know where the money was coming from. Prosecutors argue that if Davis’s bail was set, he would try to capitalize financially on Tupac’s murder by selling his life story while he’s on trial, while his attorney said that’s not illegal because he’s not convicted of the murder.

His murder, which is now 27 years old, remains unsolved.
