Ashlee Jenae’s family is still searching for answers after her body was returned to New Jersey from Tanzania.
According to TMZ, her father, Harry Robinson, said her remains arrived Friday, but none of her items, including the engagement ring or personal belongings, were returned. The family does not know when or if they will get those items back and believes investigators may still be holding them as the case remains active.
Ashlee was found dead in Tanzania early this month after a dispute with her fiancé, Joe McCann. According to authorities, hotel staff reportedly intervened and placed them in separate rooms as a result of their dispute.

While the preliminary report suggest suicide by hanging as a possible cause of death, her family rejects those claims, describing her as vibrant and full of life, who showed no signs of wanting to harm herself.
An independent autopsy has been ordered, with results pending, as the family plans funeral services in New Jersey.
