Pastor Jamal Bryant revealed in a video that he received a cease-and-desist from her last month. However, he said he chose not to address it until he recently received an email from Dr. Jaquel Pitts, who claimed to be the president of Indiana Southwest Christian University.
According to Dr. Jamal, Pitts notified him that Dr. Cheyenne earned her degree in “Theocentric Psychology” from the school and that her transcripts could not be released because of FERPA regulations. This prompted Bryant to question the school’s accreditation. He said he received a response claiming that the institution is accredited by Accreditation Religious.
Bryant said that after his research, the university doesn’t exist. He also noted that the email from Dr. Pitts did not come from an institutional email address but was instead sent from a Gmail account.

Bryant said he decided to address the situation “once and for all.” He ended his video by saying, “Let’s shut the case on Dr. Cheyenne Bryant. The only robes I want to see people in are the 500 kids who want to go to Howard, an accredited school.”
The New Birth Pastor previously apologized after receiving backlash for having her as a guest on his podcast without properly vetting her credentials.
