Tyler Perry’s ‘The Gospel of Christmas’ Starring Fantasia and Tank Premieres November 11th on Netflix

Tyler Perry is bringing together some of gospel music’s biggest names for his upcoming film, The Gospel of Christmas, starring Fantasia Barrino and R&B singer Tank. The faith-based holiday drama premieres November 11th on Netflix.

The film follows a pastor who inherits his family’s church in a rough New York neighborhood and must rediscover his faith and the power of prayer to save his church, family, and community.

The film marks another addition to Tyler Perry’s growing partnership with Netflix, which has brought audiences several films, including A Fall from Grace, A Madea Homecoming, A Jazzman’s Blues, Mea Culpa, Six Triple Eight, Straw, and Joe’s College Road Trip.

The star-studded cast features gospel legends and powerhouse vocalists, including Yolanda Adams, CeCe Winans, Shirley Caesar, Fred Hammond, The Legendary Clark Sisters, Hezekiah Walker, Ann Nesby, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Smokie Norful, Jekalyn Carr, Chanté Moore, and Le’Andria Johnson.

The cast also includes Ricco Ross, Dax, John Gray, and Carl Lentz, among others. Grammy award winning gospel artist, Kirk Franklin, serves as the film’s music producer.

With a powerful storyline centered on faith, family, and the importance of the church, The Gospel of Christmas brings gospel music and holiday inspiration together in one production.
