Actress and model Julia Fox is defends her Halloween outfit following backlash — including criticism from Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis’ grandson, Jack Schlossberg.
“Julia Fox glorifying political violence is disgusting, desperate and dangerous. I’m sure her late grandmother would agree,” Schlossberg tweeted.
Fox dressed as the former First Lady while attending The Cursed Amulet Halloween party in New York City on Thursday, Oct. 30th. Her look mirrored the pink suit Jacqueline Kennedy wore on the day her husband, President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated in 1963.
Addressing the controversy, Fox explained the deeper meaning behind her outfit in an Instagram post:
“I’m dressed as Jackie Kennedy in the pink suit. Not as a costume, but as a statement. When her husband was assassinated, she refused to change out of her blood-stained clothes, saying, ‘I want them to see what they’ve done.’”

“Her decision not to change clothes, even after being encouraged to, was an act of extraordinary bravery. It was performance, protest, and mourning all at once,” she added.
Despite the backlash, Fox maintained that her look was not intended to offend, but rather to honor Jackie Kennedy’s strength and symbolism during one of America’s darkest moments.
“A woman weaponizing image and grace to expose brutality. It’s about trauma, power, and how femininity itself is a form of resistance,” she concluded in her post.
