Sherri Shepherd’s Talk Show “Sherri” Canceled After 4 Seasons

Sherri Shepherd’s syndicated talk show “Sherri” has officially been canceled after four seasons, as networks continue reshaping daytime lineups amid shifting ratings and changing viewer habits.

In a joint statement, Debmar-Mercury, LLC (TV subsidiary company of LionGate) co-presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus emphasized the decision is about the industry, not the show’s quality:

“This decision is driven by the evolving daytime television landscape and does not reflect on the strength of the show… or the incredibly talented Sherri Shepherd.”

They made it clear this may not be the end:

“We believe in this show and in Sherri and intend to explore alternatives for it on other platforms.”

The show’s final episode will air in the fall. Since its debut, “Sherri” has built a loyal fan base with celebrity interviews and pop culture commentary, with a touch of her signature humor and relatability to her fans.

Sherri Shepherd debuted “Sherri” in 2022, following her successful stint as a guest host on The Wendy Williams Show. Shepherd also previously co-hosted The View from 2007 to 2014. Since its premiere, “Sherri” has earned two NAACP Image Awards, winning in 2023 and 2024.

While its syndicated run is ending, should Sheppard take advantage of streaming or digital opportunities?
