Sonya Curry remarried five years after her divorce from former NBA player Dell Curry.
Sonya shared the news on her Instagram page, posting a carousel of photos highlighting her wedding in Scottsdale, Arizona. The wedding was planned and came into fruition in just nine weeks. The identity of her husband has not been revealed.
The mother of three (Stephen, Seth, and Sydel Curry) shared that Ecclesiastes 3 resonated with her experiences over the past seven years, particularly verse 4, which speaks of a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.
She reflected on her mother’s unexpected passing a year ago and how, during that season of grief, she met the man who would become her husband, months later, she was blessed to become his wife.
“Our union is a testament to the fact that God has seen every tear I’ve cried and answered every prayer that I had regarding the type of man that would be a perfect helpmate for me (if God saw that it was in his will for me to remarry)!” she wrote.
“I hope this encourages you—not just about finding a husband or wife, but with any prayer you have submitted to God—to not lose hope. It is never too late for Him to fulfill His promises to you…” she added.
