Kevin Federline Apologizes to His Ex, Shar Jackson, For Cheating on Her

In his upcoming memoir, You Thought You Knew, Kevin Federline shares a heartfelt apology to his ex-fiancée and Moesha actress, Shar Jackson, whom he left behind in 2004 when his relationship with Britney Spears began.

“I handled the breakup with Shar poorly. I wasn’t honest or direct,” Federline shared with US Weekly on Oct. 15th, reflecting on his actions that led to their breakup and on how much the news of his affair.

He also mentioned that the news of his affair broke her heart and made her frustrated, describing it as sadness under the anger he couldn’t undo. Jackson was 6 months pregnant, at the time, when she learned of his affair with Spears, according to an article written two years ago by Black Enterprise.

The 47-year-old says he’s made peace with his past and rebuilt his bond with Jackson: “Me and Shar are good. We’re great. That happened so long ago, and, you know, I’ve apologized to her, and all of that stuff took place a long time ago. I just felt that it was an important piece to put in the book,” he told US Weekly.

He also apologized to his two children, Kori (23) and Kaleb (21), whom he shares with Jackson, for not being the man he needed to be for them.

Federline also shared that he became a grandfather with his son, Kaleb, settling into fatherhood.

Federline also has 4 other children: Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, with Spears, and daughters Jordan, 14, and Peyton, 11, with his wife, Victoria Prince.

The memoir is set for release on October 21st.
