Princess Love is breaking her silence following the arrest of her ex-husband, Ray J, after a heated confrontation on Thanksgiving Day in which he allegedly waved a gun. The 41-year-old says she has been focused on protecting her peace — and her children — and refuses to allow Ray J to “gaslight the situation” or paint her as unfit while putting their family in danger.
According to Princess, she agreed to go to Ray J’s home to cook Thanksgiving dinner and allow the children to spend time with him since they hadn’t seen him in a while.
Princess claims that the last time Melody and Epik visited Ray J, they walked in on him naked in bed with another woman. When she confronted him about the incident, she says he told her it was none of her business and to “go F herself.”
The Love & Hip Hop: Miami alum emphasized that she deeply loves her children and has made every effort to co-parent, even if it means being around Ray J for their sake. However, she says she will no longer tolerate behavior that puts them at risk. She added that Ray J “needs help,” ending her message with a firm, “Never again.”
In a separate video, Ray J shared his side of the story after being taken into custody and later released on a $50,000 bond. The 44-year-old was arrested on Thanksgiving for allegedly pulling a gun on Princess and threatening to shoot a man during an argument streamed live online.

Throughout the livestream, Ray J insisted that his children were with him and would not be taken away. Princess, holding Melody, exchanged heated words with him as the confrontation intensified. Ray J accused Princess and her cousin Melody of being drunk, calling them alcoholics. Princess, meanwhile, claimed he pointed a gun at them, calling him delusional and a “woman abuser.”
An unidentified man attempted to intervene, but Ray J allegedly escalated the situation further, threatening him by saying, “I’ll shoot you” and “I’ll kill you, bro,” while one of the children cried in the background moments before police arrived.
Ray J, whose legal name is William Ray Norwood Jr., and Princess Love were married from 2016 until their divorce in 2025. The former couple shares two children: Melody Love Norwood, 7, and Epik Ray Norwood, 5.
