Food Network chefs Chef Judy and Chef Chris Dodson shared their signature recipes during their hands-on cooking class experience on July 20th at Chef Judy’s restaurant, Fayetteville’s Uptown Chicken and Waffles, located at 1707 Owen Drive.
The cooking pro duo taught participants how to prepare pan-seared salmon, roasted zucchini, summer squash purée, fennel salad, and Parmesan roasted potatoes.
They also shared their unique cooking techniques when it comes to making flavors boost a celebration feast in your taste bugs solidify why they are the pros when it comes to cooking.

Chef Dodson, a U.S. Army veteran, is a Food Network competitor who has appeared on Chopped: Battle of the Veterans, Cutthroat Kitchen, Beat Bobby Flay, and 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing, where he finished as a Top 5 finalist. He works as a private chef for UHNW (ultra-high net worth) clients. According to his website, Dodson is also a Michelin-trained private chef, cooking instructor, caterer, and culinary consultant. He previously served as a Sous Chef with The Alinea Group in Chicago, one of the world’s most acclaimed restaurants, known for its positive national and global rankings.

Chef Judy, whose real name is Judith Cage, is also a U.S. Army veteran, motivational speaker, caterer, restaurant owner, and Food Network competitor. According to her social media, the Chicago native has appeared on Chopped, Cutthroat Kitchen, and Restaurant: Impossible, and won the $10,000 grand prize on Supermarket Stakeout. Her impressive client list includes J. Cole, CeCe Winans, Tye Tribbett, Chrisette Michele, Bernice King, Marcus D. Wiley, Stephanie Mills, Magic Johnson, and Tony Dungy.

The culinary duo recently hosted another cooking class in July 27th cooking up pan seared steak with soubise sauce, truffle mash potatoes, and sauteed brussels with sweet potato glaze to close out the month and will host another hands-on cooking class on August 3rd at 6 p.m. at Chef Judy’s restaurant. The “Brunch for Dinner” menu features pan-seared lamb chops, sweet potato grits, stuffed French toast, berry yogurt parfaits, Parmesan-crusted Brussels sprouts, and sunrise mimosas.
They will also host a special class during Stellar Awards Week on August 12th in Charlotte, North Carolina. Guests will learn to prepare shrimp and grits with smoked sausage, candied bacon, stuffed French toast, lemon crème crêpes, fresh fruit parfaits, strawberry lemonade mocktails, and wine.

In addition, the two Food Network champions also host cooking classes for children, where young participants get hands-on experience preparing dishes such as pizza and teriyaki chicken.
