Photographer Claims Ray J Used ‘Fake Blood’ Before His  Valentine’s Day Show in Shreveport, Louisiana

Tommy Nard II, a photographer covering Ray J’s Valentine’s Day performance, claims #RayJ used fake blood to stir buzz during his show in Shreveport.

The “Wait a Minute” singer initially sparked concern after appearing onstage with what looked like blood dripping from his eyes and a heart monitor patch on his chest.

However, new footage obtained by KTAL 6 reportedly shows him applying a substance backstage before the show.

Nard claims the moment was staged for dramatic effect, calling it “theatrical.” He recalled being behind the scenes and seeing Ray J apply the fake blood before heading out to the crowd, questioning, “What are you doing?” and adding that it was “very shocking that he would do something like that.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, Ray J’s manager did not directly deny the fake blood claims but maintained that the singer has been dealing with real health issues.

The news comes in the aftermath of Ray J appearing to have blood running from his eye while performing in sunglasses. After unzipping his jumpsuit onstage, a visible medical patch could also be seen on his chest, sparking concern among concertgoers and social media users on what’s going on with his eye.

One user, who goes by @SagittariusN2U, tweeted: “Ray J still trying to perform — my question is, where is that blood coming from!?”

Last month, Ray J opened up about his recent health struggles. He was hospitalized in Las Vegas last month for pneumonia and later revealed he has a heart condition. He shared that he’s currently on medication and was warned by doctors that he may need a pacemaker or defibrillator. He was also advised to avoid smoking and drinking as he focuses on his recovery.
