Holiday Comedy, Too Many Christmases, Navigates a Newlywed couple’s Journey in Going Above and Beyond to Create a Special Christmas with Their Families

This uproariously funny holiday flick follows the newlyweds Jerome (played by Denzel Whitaker) and Kayla (played by Porscha Coleman) as they embark on a mission to please their families by attending way “Too Many Christmases.” Brace yourself for a rollercoaster of laughter, love, and drama this holiday season!

‘Too Many Christmases’ also features a stellar cast, including Adele Givens, Jackee Harry, Valarie Pettiford, Michael Colyar, Ratoya Banks, Johnath Davis, Russell G. Jones, Juhahn Jones, DeShawn Bowens, Willie C. Carpenter, Jordan Babbs, and Mister Fitzgerald. With such a talented ensemble, this movie promises to deliver a truly memorable holiday experience.

Written by Clarence Williams IV and produced by Worldwide Entertainment & Media, the movie is about a newlywed couple, Jerome and Kayla, who turn their Christmas holiday into two events instead of one to spend time with their families. The couple is determined to make the Christmas holiday special but must find a way to celebrate with both sides of the family on the same day without either of them finding out. The plot will keep you captivated!

The Jamison Agency (4x Award-Winning Public Relations Agency) held an exclusive virtual media press conference on December 9 with some of the cast members, as they discussed their excitement in working on the movie project as well as ways to navigate time with loved ones during the holiday season. Cast member Adele Givens, who portrays Darlene, Jerome’s mother in the film, shared with Tracey Morrison, CEO and writer from the Exclusive Press (EP), as a married person, how she and her spouse were able to juggle and make plans for which families to spend time with during the Christmas holiday.  The Queens of Comedy legend shared with the Exclusive that her husband is a Jehovah’s Witness and doesn’t celebrate Christmas, which made it much easier for her to decide which family to spend time with during the holiday season.

While Givens’ holiday planning with loved ones was easy, like an organized holiday shopper planning their Christmas shopping ahead of time, this was not the case for characters Jerome and Kayla.

The movie will be very interested to watch, as the couple goes to outstanding lengths to show their commitment to keeping smiles on their families’ faces, even if it means running themselves thin. Set time aside to watch the complexities of family dynamics and how the couple manages while juggling family expectations during the holiday season. BET + (Plus) will exclusively premiere Too Many Christmases on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
