Erika Kirk Speaks Out After White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Calls Out Negative Media Coverage about her, Jimmy Kimmel, Candace Owens, and Druski

In an almost 10-minute video posted on her late husband’s podcast, Erika Kirk explained why she attended the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, saying she wanted to confront journalists she believes have tried to dehumanize her. “Why have a conversation about me when you can talk to me,” she said.

She described her observations from the event, including a one-on-one interaction with a Daily Mail journalist who offered condolences. Erika recalled pointing out how attendees set aside their differences for one night, adding that by Monday it returns to a “bloodbath” of opposing views—something the journalist acknowledged.

Erika also detailed the chaos following the reported shooting incident, where she was seen crying in a video, saying she “just wants to go home” as she was escorted out.

She also discussed the suspect, describing him as a teacher by day and a shooter by night, and referenced multiple assassination attempts on Donald Trump.

On the podcast, she criticized late-night host Jimmy Kimmel over a joke made two days before the dinner, in which he said Melania Trump had the “glow of an expectant widow.” She also called out Candace Owens and Druski.

“Every morning I wake up to a new headline lying about me. I have comedians dressing up in whiteface,” she said. “I have people saying I’m not fit to be CEO, and I have Candace Owens claiming that I murdered my husband.”

She closed her message by referencing Romans 12:21, overcoming evil with good, while reflecting on her late husband’s mission in founding Turning Point USA, ending with a unified message: “Buckle up, everybody! Here we go.”
