Tyler Perry Studios is offering its paid 6-week internship program called ‘Dreamers’ for aspiring students who want to work in the television production industry.
Participants will learn the studio’s goals and objectives while gaining experience in corporate and television production.
QUALIFICATIONS
The website lists qualifications for internships in the entertainment industry.

These include being a college student or enrolled in a TV/Film training program, having a passion for the industry, being at least 18 years old, working locally (Atlanta area), being available for 40 hours a week for 7 weeks, seeking college credit, and being a U.S. citizen or having a valid work permit.

DETAILS OF THE SIX-WEEK INTERNSHIP
The initial week of the Dreamers program will include an overview of human resources policies and procedures, safety protocols, and sexual harassment training.
Participants will also receive a studio tour, be assigned tasks for each department, and have the opportunity to shadow assistants to gain insight into various processes.

The second through fifth weeks will further the shadowing process and deliver status reports on areas for improvement, along with insights into students’ strengths and weaknesses, and how the studio can assist them throughout the program.
The sixth week focuses on additional shadowing, while students in the program will start assembling their end-of-internship projects.
INCENTIVE
The “Dreamers” internship is open from mid-June to early August, paying $18.00 per hour at 40 hours per week. The internship will also include fireside chats each Friday and a field trip.
