Williams, originally from Fayetteville, is a proud Jack Britt High School graduate and an alumnus of Fayetteville State University. Williams became a beaming star on the football field, making an impact for the Broncos. In 2019, William led the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) with 15 passes defended, including two interceptions, according to HBCU Sports. He continued the momentum the following football season, after the canceled 2020 season due to the COVID pandemic, finishing the 2021 season with nine passes and three interceptions. With his strong on-field presence, Fayetteville State ranked in the top two in passing yards allowed in the CIAA, giving up just 112.6 yards per game in 2021, as reported by HBCU Sports. In 2021, he was selected as a member of the First-Team All-CIAA, reinforcing his status as an exceptional athlete in his field.

His talent attracted NFL scouts, resulting in the Kansas City Chiefs selecting him with the 135th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. His selection represented a pivotal moment, as he became the first player to be drafted into the NFL from the school in over 40 years, establishing a benchmark that would echo throughout the institution’s athletic legacy. Williams finished the 2024 season with 19 solo tackles and six passes defended, tied for 11th most in the NFL regular season, according to the News & Observer. At just the age of 25, he has earned the impressive title of a two-time Super Bowl Champion, highlighting his outstanding abilities and commitment on the field.

Williams is returning to his roots to give back to a community where he has positioned his talent from an early age to the college level as a token of appreciation that allowed him to advance his talent outside the 910 onto the world’s most famous gridiron stage.
